Updates to Workflow reporting - February 2021

We've released changes to Workflow reports in Insights that improve transparency into the effectiveness of your business logic and its impact on users. Instead of displaying runs completed, reports have been updated to display runs started and decisions applied.

Updates to Workflow Metrics

"Total Workflows Completed" has been removed from Workflow Metrics

Instead of the number of Workflow runs ending during a specified time period, reports now include two new metrics:

  • "Total Runs Started" - The number Workflow runs triggered during a specified time period
  • "Total Decisions Applied" - The number of Workflow runs triggered during a specified time period that resulted in a decision being applied

Automated decision rate calculations are now also based on "Total Runs Started" instead of "Total Workflows Completed"

If you have a large number of Workflow runs started that do not result in a decision being applied, your automated decision rate may appear to drop. You can calculate the number of Workflow runs completed that do not result in a decision by subtracting "Total Runs Started" from "Total Decisions Applied."

Updates to Workflow Route Metrics

Like Workflow Metrics, Route Metrics reports now display runs started instead of runs completed

In the summary section of Route Metrics reports, "Total Workflows Completed" has been replaced with "Total Runs Started." In the table, "Completed Runs" has been replaced with "Runs Started." These new metrics are a count of Workflow runs triggered during a specified time period.
